=============================================

I have always been completely fascinated by sewing and knitting, now more than ever. And lately I have had the most overwhelming urges to go out and buy every single item necessary to dig in to one of these new crafts.

I always loved to watch my grandmother as she knitted us sweaters, socks and pillows. It is one of my favorite childhood memories. She is one crafty woman, she not only knits, she also sews and crochets. She is totally amazing. One of my most treasured possessions is a beautiful bedspread which she crocheted {spelling} for me has a wedding gift.

Well today I decided that its time I stop thinking/wishing that I could make something and actually do it. I looked into knitting and well all classes in my area are booked until December, so I will start out with sewing. Saturday I am heading out to Joann’s and will purchase fabric to start this adventure.

Of course the ambitious part of me wants to start off with this gorgeous weekender bag that I saw on flickr! LOL, now we all know that is not happening, so I am going to start off with this cute little pillow for Ms. Olivia’s room.

We are Back...

We are back from our weekend in New Hampshire! What fun.

Our friends Dawn & Matt decided to have a destination wedding and were married at the Mount Washington at Brent Woods, NH. The resort is absolutely gorgeous...we were right on the mountains and the views were breathtaking. The resort is a National Historic Landmark and they give tours of the main areas throughout the year. I was totally in love with the wrap around porch; I mean it’s totally unbelievable.

It was a weekend celebration, starting with a welcome reception on Friday night, which turned out to go until 2:00am. {I made it until 12:00 and had to go to bed} On Saturday, Ryan went golfing with his friends and I enjoyed Room Service. Yummy, Yummy Orange French Toast with Cinnamon Butter and Maple Syrup. I stayed in bed and indulged in some much need relaxation and sleep until almost noon. I felt good, but I couldn’t help but feeling a little guilty.

The wedding that Evening was beautiful and so very touching! They were married right on the back porch of the resort with the most amazing views of the White Mountains. WOW, is all I can say. The party last until almost 3:00 AM, but well I once again only made it until about 12:30. Ryan on the other hand was hurting really bad on the way home since he stayed out the entire time.

Here are some pictures of the crew… I will upload more later.

This Week ...

We visited my Brother in Law on Sunday and he gave Olivia Chalk to play outside on his patio. Doesn't she look just beautiful??? I think she is wearing blush! {LOL}

Ryan was away for business so Ms. Olivia and I had some quality time together. Its been really cold, down in the low 60's and yes I think I win "Worst Mother" of the Year Award. I had yet to buy clothes for her for fall. :(

But don't worry I sure did make up for it. Here are a few things that I got for her.

7 Random Facts - Tag

I've been tagged by Amy to post 7 random things about me!

  1. I have never been to Disneyworld!!!! Shocking but sooooo true! {I am planning on taking Ms. Olivia hopefully next year. It will be fun to experience it with her.}

  2. I am deadly afraid of spiders! The fact that I live right next to a tree farm seriously doesn't help, for there are tons of spiders everywhere, some really weird looking.
  3. I love, love, did I mention LOVE shoes and purses.

  4. You are not ALONE Angela!!!! We throw Chloe a B-day party! She is turning 4 on 9/23, so expect a few photos!

  5. I love to watch FOODTV and than create my own recipes based on what I watch! {A little less butter never hurt anyone. LOL}

  6. My mom is my BEST FRIEND! I finaly now realize how right she was that your "mom" is always the one that will never want anything 'bad' or 'hurtful' to happen to their child, when they give them advice. I just hope & pray that I will be half the mother that she is.

  7. I am not responsible with money {gasp}!!!! Ryan is the one that Pays all the bills and handles our finances.

I love flickr & big huge labs! You can create the coolest collages. Here is Ms. Olivia at the pool on Labor Day Weekend.

How can you get mad at this sweet face....

The truth is that I can't!!!! She looks like such a little angel, but it reality she can be quite the little devil. LOL

Yesterday, my sweet Olivia decided that Mommy's cellphone was a little "dirty" and that she needed to give it a bath. I found her in the bathroom washing my phone in the sink with a very serious look on her face. When I asked her what she was doing ... here is how the conversation went.

Me: Livvy, what are you doing?
Olivia: Give phone bath, mommy!
Me: Why?
Olivia: Phone very dirty mommy! I clean it for you!
Me: Ok, Livvy give it back to mommy, please!
Olivia: NO!!!! Still dirty. Open it mommy, I clean better!
Me: Its clean, now give it to mommy!
Olivia: Mommy you call daddy now OK!
Me: I can't, its broken. You can't wash the phone!
Olivia: Oh oh...I trouble?
Me: Yes, yes you are!!!!!!

Needless to say I am out of a phone and now will have to go buy a new one. She was so proud of herself, that she couldn't wait to tell daddy that she gave mommy's phone a bath.
