Santa Claus

Last Sunday we took Olivia to see Santa Claus and she was super excited. She has been watching Polar Express almost every single day and loves Santa in the movie and so we were hoping that this year she would not cry in the picture and well we got our wish. We just forgot to wish for a big SMILE.

The funny thing is that as Santa walked around the mall ringing his jingle bells she was screaming and jumping that Santa was coming. The whole time we waited in line she kept on asking "Olivia go next, mommy???" The excitement lasted all the way into Santa's bench, that is at which point she turned around and started screaming "NO".

I sat with her at first and then slowing made my way off the bench and she cried and cried. When I was ready to take her away Santa somehow managed to talk her into sitting on his lap. Well this is what we got after 20 minutes of pure torture for both my poor baby and us!

HO HO HO
Merry Christmas!

Ps. Oh and I forgot to tell you the best part. LOL If you look carefully you will see that Olivia is holding Santa's Jingle Bells on her left hand. Well when it was time to go she didn't want to give them back and Ryan was struggling to take them from her, when OOPS she ripped the strap in half. LOL, LOL She had half and Ryan had the other half!!! I wish they had allowed me to take pictures in there. I am laughing so hard right now just picturing the look of terror on Ryan's face.

ADDICTED to Hot Chocolate & My new TOY!

I am completely and utterly addicted to William Sonoma’s Hot Chocolate and Marshmallows. It is creamy and rich, and I love that its actual chocolate shavings and not powder. It truly melts with such ease and makes it so much better! The marshmallows are just like homemade marshmallows, soft and gummy, not hard! I had to of course get them in both Vanilla and Chocolate!

Now on to my new TOY! I am a freak when it comes to vacuuming because of dog hair. Ryan laughs at me because I vacuum every single day and my poor vacuum was starting to sound a little off! Well it died yesterday...it started to smoke and smell like burning plastic in the middle of me vacuuming our carpet in the family room.

So today I went out and bought myself and early Christmas present! I have wanted one of these forever and now am a proud owner of my very own little Dyson! WOW it is awesome, it sucks everything up. I am in love with it and have used in every single room, including my hardwood floors and my Kitchen floor.

Only 13 More days to Christmas!

I am still in disbelief that we are only 13 days away from Christmas. Where is the time going? Frankly I am so not ready this year. I have yet to finish my shopping; don't have 1 single present wrapped and am only now finishing my Christmas cards to mail out tomorrow. Can you say, Last Minute or should I say Slacker!

Anyway I did manage to finish all the cards that needed to be mailed out and now only have about 10/12 to make for our families. These I will have with their presents on Christmas Morning.

Olivia was such a good girl today and I finally was able to get a picture of her to include with our cards. I used a digi kit to add some touchs and then uploaded them to BJ's and had them printed. I love the fact that they can now process pictures in 1 hour. It saves so much time.

Christmas Tree

Every year Ryan asks me if we can get a real Tree for the Holidays, and every year I feel like scrooge because I always say "No". Now to be fair I will say that our first Christmas we got a real tree in our tiny little apartment and it totally and completely turned me off. We were on the 2nd floor, so you can imagine the mess the tree created on the way in, but especially on the way out the door after the Holiday. I wanted to cry!!!

However this year I thought that it would be nice to suprise him and take him out to the tree farm a few blocks from us and let him and Olivia pick a tree. He was totally and completely surprised and so happy that I swear the memory of his smilling face will be worth every pine needle that I have to clean up the next 3/4 weeks.

We now have two huge trees in our house. {Come on did you think I was going to give up my Fake Tree.} The real one is about 9 feet and is in our family room and the fake tree which is 12 feet is in our foyer. Olivia loves running from one room to the other and check out the lights and ornaments.

Here are a few pictures of our little trip.

Its coming.....My favorite Holiday~

December is here and Christmas will be here shortly. I am a happy, happy woman! {{Smile}}

The house is completely decorated, both inside and out. I am so glad that my awesome hubby took vacation and that we can accomplish all these things together. I think we will make it a tradition in order to make sure Olivia is involved every step of the way. She is truly into it this year and loves the tree and all the decorations through out the house.

There is nothing like listening to Christmas songs, sitting by the fire and enjoying the beautiful twinkling tree.

I started my Christmas cards and have quite a few done. Here are some of my very favorite...

And because I did not want to bombard you all with each individual card, here are some more in a Flickr Mosaic.
