1. Getting ready for Halloween!
Olivia is super excited this year and keeps on asking me if we can go TOTing. She picked out her costume this year and will be Sleeping Beauty! {Of course it had to involve the color "PINK"} .
We are making Halloween Crackers for her to hand out to her friends and teachers. I really wanted to involve her and so I took her to Michael's & AC Moore to help me pick out the papers & embellishments. I cut out all of the papers, but she helped me pick out the die cuts for each one the crackers. She was too cute, she would pick one and actually tell me who she wanted me to give it to. {Only 10 more to go, I ran out of crepe paper.}
{Hanging Head in Shame} Today we will start decorating the house! I am really ashamed to admit that we have not one single "Halloween" decoration up. This is a first for us, we are usually done by Oct. 1st.
2. Christmas
Yep, I am really trying to stay ahead of the game this year and get as much done for Christmas as I can. There is a project that I am working on right now, but I can't say...don't want to give the surprise away.
I am compiling a list of gifts that I want to get everyone and what stores I can find them in. I am hoping to get most of my shopping done by mid November and than hit the Thanksgiving Night Extravaganza at our outlets. They open at midnight on Thanksgiving and the sales are incredible. Its a mad house, so you really need a game plan and a partner, otherwise you cannot get anything. The lines usually wrap around the store. The first year I went alone and it took me almost 2 hrs to pay for my purchases at the Polo store. Needless to say I was done after 2 stores.
3. Family
We are trying to spend as much time as possible together. I love it when Ryan is around on Sunday/Monday. Olivia loves to be with him, and usually spends most of her time outside helping him in the yard. They planted mums last weekend and she actually told him exactly where each one of the was to go. I wish I had taken my camera out and snapped a few pictures. :(
And just because ... here is a random picture of Olivia and Tyler.
{Not the best quality because Ryan took it with his phone, but I love it.}
